Screw Me Lamp
Jonathan Rowell is an industrial designer living in San Francisco. He has taken his experience with consumer products and manufacturing and applied it to his furniture. Screw Me Lamp is made out of anodized aluminum and stainless steel. The lamp that goes up and down, the lamp of many colors.
The lamp is designed to be used in a variety of places. It is versatile so it can either stand with a metal stand for use with a desk or table or attach to the wall and hang. The cord is housed in the screw column and is covered on the top but not the bottom of the lamp to attach to the power source. The shade is a small, circular unit that covers the bulb to contain and direct the flow of the light.
“This playful lamp comes with a simple twist: its height is adjustable by simply screwing and unscrewing the shaft so that the light is lifted or lowered.”
- Screw Me was chosen to be exhibited at ICFF Studio 2013. ICFF is North America’s premier showcase for contemporary design.
