The ‘ second ‘ Town Hall, the City Office at the Hague, a signal for the environment and Leyweg a catalyst for renewal of the town. This ambition, expressed in height and in an appealing open form, accompanied by a sense of scale and detail. Official service, a library and houses come together around the Office building. Inventive use of both new and ‘ proven ‘ construction technique produces a result on that expressive of shape is, surprisingly, flexible, functional and sustainable spatial.
The livery of the facade with white beautiful Norwegian marble embossed on a facet of America builds on the spirit of the place with the modern optimism of Dudok. Inside the atrium unfolds as the logical core of the Declaration: a Centre for citizens and governance.
